You can be young in years but a moaning old git at heart...
Good to see the youngsters on here learning from the senile brigade old hands. Moan on chaps!

It might be widely known, but I recently found out that flashing others to notify them of a speed camera could land you in hot water...

“Any person who resists or wilfully obstructs a constable in the execution of his duty, or a person assisting a constable in the execution of his duty, shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale, or to both.” = £1000 fine

WHF - "officer, I mealy pressed the wrong button while attempting to repeatedly spray screen wash"  lol

And the the buggers are supposedly changing the vans colours to make them less obvious as speed vans where currently they have to comply with the police's marked vehicle standards  :icon_batterup:

I'm 36 and have been known to occasionally have a good old moan, but I do recall young Josh has liked a good moan for a number of years.  lol

That's  what happens when youngun's mix wi' oldun's.

To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Just put 10 litres of fuel in my bike today and cost me £5. Then remembered I am in Azerbaijan.

That still might be financially viable, if I bring a couple of cans too.

Flashing rules say you may flash your lights only to alert other road users to your presence. Therefore flashing to indicate you're "giving way" is ILLEGAL

I got a you, your and you're in this time

The plan, devised in January, was for three of us to ride to the Penrith area and stay in a pub from Saturday June 25th and ride home on the following Thursday. Then I'd have a day to find some clean socks etc and then to load the bike on the trailer and on Saturday head down to the mini meet in that there West Wales. Our leader , who has the most bikes but does the least riding started getting cold feet about the weather.
Will it rain? -
Yes of course it will... that's how it got to be the lake district
I don't like rain ( he doesn't ever go out in the rain and has no proper wet weather gear)
Yesterday, his wife said he couldn't possibly go because the BBC weather forecast was for rain every day except one
He wants to go in his car
:icon_exclaim:
I suggested we wait until Friday and if the forecast is wet wet wet then we'll go by car and if it's mostly dry we'll use the bikes.
But no. A wife says she's been worried sick about him going all that way at his age and it just not safe to ride in the rain ( Wives eh!)
:topic_closed:
So the trip has been postponed until September when, of course, it won't rain. Today's BBC forecast shows that it will be mostly dry but with a few showers on one or two days.
On the bright side it does give me the opportunity to spend two extra days in West Wales prior to the Mini meet.

I had a moan to our procurement manager in work this morning.

It was regarding the the ongoing works to install some double stacked portacabins for new offices for the production supervisors.

"It's taking too bloody long to get it all finished off!"
He told me to "shut my hole, what difference does it make to me anyway?" (There is good banter in our ofice)

To which I replied:
"Well, I want it all finished and the fenceing back in place as I want to chain by bike to one of the fence posts"  lol

He just shook his head and walked out of the sales office.

Tried to update my car satnav - TOMTOM What a bunch of Jodrell bankers.
They want my address but insist I have to insert my house number. My bungalow is not a number, it is a name. (I feel like Patrick McGoohan)
"I am not a number I am a name" .     It refuses to move onto the next stage untill I insert a number.
Even after Brexit we cannot escape the bloody EU and their determination to paint us all grey and have us conform to their apparatchick terrorisism. :dl_soapbox: ###             TOMTOM  :dl_help:        :topic_closed:

Dear Mick, If it rains all day everyday you can maybe stay indoors and drink beer and then more beer and then ..... Sounds like a good holiday to me.  :obscene-drinkingchug:

Brockett, not sure the EU is to blame, people with no house numbers have had the problem for ever.. The satnav may be wanting it so 'home' is nearer where it should be on the map for people who live on long roads.
My challenge to you is for you to see what the largest number the setup will accept. Start at 99,999 and work backwards!
