StromGeeza:   -  It is TOMTOM's speed camera payments page. Not navigation.
TOMTOM is maybe Dutch.
Holland is in the EU
The EU is Homogeneous
Q.E.D.

and Joe - I have no idea what that means. But if it was called "Chez Nous" it still couldn't pass their address test.

I hate houses without numbers. If a road starts at 2, and runs up to 200, number 100 is usually about halfway along. Try that with chez nous or dunroamin'.

How about here in Penboyr? All of the houses/farms have names and we aren't posh enough to have our own postcodes, ours is shared with at least four others  :smirk:

Four? That is posh, up to fifteen addresses can easily share a postcode. You've all obviously got far too much land.

I am a reluctant user of Facetwit but realise the benefits when promoting a business. However, how stupid can people be? Our logo incorporates our web address and our website (which it is very visible all over Facetwit), funnily enough, gives key information about our business.

I must get two or three messages each week asking 'where are you located', 'what facilities do you have' how much does it cost' do you have showers'  :dl_smiley_banghead:

People can't be arsed to read past the first few words, especially if one's a biggie like 'campsite'.

Rusty :- My Bungalow is built on the land behind the road in which it is named. Access is via an unadopted lane between house 26 and house 28.  I did not choose the name of the bungalow and if I did want to take on a number it would not be sequential as the houses were built 70 years before the bungalow.
The postman knows where my place is and loves to tear up and down the lane with wheelspins and skids despite the fact that the road is wearing out and my gas, electricity and mains water services are now getting closer to the surface.

Just be grateful you don't require heating oil. lol

You would either freeze or have any boundary walls knocked down.

Probably both. :lala:

Of course you could have a sequential number Brockett! A choice of 26A or 28A, or is that too obvious.

So how's it going so far then?

Oh! I'm nowhere near of such wealth as to be able to afford oil for heating although my local garage did recommend I shove a litre of heating oil with every fill in my Fiat Doblo to give it a cleaner burn and clear out the DPF.

Joe:- Us plebs cannot choose our addresses as you suggest. These are assigned by the POST OFFICE.

lol  kerosene in a high pressure injector system is not a good idea, let alone if you are dipped by revenue and customs. They take a proper dim view of kerosene mixed with derv, they consider it worse than running red.  :thumb:

It's an idea, though, Brockett. Change the name from chez nous to 26a. The Post Office have no jurisdiction over house names.

I turned on the TV on to watch a bit of YouTube - no sound.
I tried the freesat box  still nothing
I went into settings and fiddled with everything - still nothing
I turned the tv over and checked all round for a hidden switch - nothing
20 minutes of mucking about when I found it - yes I have been pushing the channel button on the remote and not the volume button. :icon_exclaim:
The free sat controller has the volume button on the opposit side. Where's the bloody uniformity.
