I see there is a Hosepipe ban being brought in for Devon - Here is dreary Essex we've hardly had a dry day for weeks.  :rain: It's been wet in the morning, or wet at midday, or wet in the afternoon and one way or another I've only had a bike out once since February.  I suppose they need to save water for the wealthy multitudes who invade the area during the summer.

The forecast for here for the next fortnight is for winds from the east north east, the east and the east south east.  So it'll be chilly for a while yet. The old saying "don't cast a 'clout' before May is out" holds true so far

Brockett,
I can confirm that the wind off the North Sea is damn cold with fresh snow cover on the Cheviots yesterday. I think we should revert back to the ice age cometh theory because global warming ain't working.
Brrrrrrrr.
Present feels like 33f.

Last year my car insurance for a 2015 Honda Jazz (a.k.a. the slug) and for the 2008 Fiat Doblo was £526 and this year they are asking £821.
A 56% increase of vehicles are worth less every year.  :icon_exclaim:

I'm expecting an increase on the car this year as I've not long swapped cars to one costing a fair bit more, but the KTM renewal just arrived the other day and it's dropped 15% for no particular reason.

Insurance comparison websites seem to be dialled into "kicking the Brocket".  I entered entered details of my Fiat Doblo and got an offer of £911. That was for third party only on a vehicle I valued at £1200.  Another company offered fully comp insurance for my Honda Jazz for £270,  £130 less than LV quoted but that company was unable to understand or quote me for both cars. LV have come with a reduced quote of £780 so I may be forking out £200 over last years price and staying with them.  I suppose I'll soon be having the same tussle over my bikes insurance.

Yes , that yearly fight that you rarely win.  :dl_smiley_banghead:

Even harder these days....

Last year Carole Nash basically told me to go elsewhere if I didn't like thier quote, no negotiation at all ...

As the increase wasn't too shocking I paid it because I couldn't be bothered to get a quote elsewhere..
