Rusty, I couldn't understand why anybody would need a pump action shotgun but mate, I think you do. If you tell the police why you need it I'm sure they'll agree.

I don't know if you can buy claymores on the internet but a couple of them and maybe a antitank gun too in case they try to make a getaway in a stolen car. Grenades are a little indiscriminate and may take out bystanders so I wouldn't even think of using more than 4 or 5 of those.

If they come back and you have to use force to protect your bikes,
you may find that there is a little collateral damage if there are passers by who won't take cover so, a small first aid kit from Boot's (£10) may be a good buy too.

Remember, don't phone the police until you've finished shooting and done a body count. You wouldn't want to mislead them by saying there was only one intruder when there might have been more.

Join "Fight To Save Your Bikes) www.fighttosaveyourbikes.co.uk  for more information. They have a used weapons section (numbers filed off) where you may be able to pick up some of the tools cheap.

Good luck.  :icon_wink:    :icon_no:

.....it doesn't really matter about the blood on concrete when they're encased in it.  :thumb:

Seriously though mate if you need a hand creating an inner cage for your shed give me a shout. We can quite easily create something out of 40x40x5 steel box and I'll pop up with the mig and a box of cutting discs.

I have now fully recovered from my leg op and that bird flu or whatever it was has almost cleared off so for the first time in a couple of months I am free to ride as the weather dries and warms a little. Oh! Not yet ...Grandson 13 has had an operation on both big toes due to ingrowing toenails so he's here to stay with me for a week or two.

I wouldn't want to be imprisoned with an old git knowing I couldn't even go for a walk to aleviate the moaning from time to time! Poor chap, I really feel sorry for him...........

Oh, glad to hear you're better physically now Brockett.  :smirk:
So how's it going so far then?

Well last Saturday 1st April we had a surprise 80th birthday for our friends mum, it was held in a church hall here in Essex, we all had to be there by 12.45 for her arrival At 1pm (everyone had to wear a face mask of her face ) she came in blindfolded and she was so delighted to see all her family and friends, I will add Betty the birthday girl has had a tough time of late losing her husband a couple of years ago and herself battling lung cancer.
My wife was amongst the friends & family cooking in the kitchen being hot in there they opened the windows then a man appeared over the fence waving his arms about saying shut the windows you are making to much noice, so they shut the windows and sweated, the music was on quite low in the back ground while Betty walked round talking to everybody and thanking people for coming, well unbeknown to everybody her family had arranged a Elvis impersonator who was brilliant and I Admit he was very loud belting out his tunes and getting on one knee and singing to the birthday girl & most over people to, but Apparently twat face from next door came round to complain again, this is Saturday afternoon 80 th party from 1-5.
Well we carried on with Betty’s party and all had a great time with Betty saying to everyone I couldn’t have had a better birthday with family & friends while drinking her large whiskies 😃
So the hall was all cleaned up and we were out of there by 5.30 in the afternoon.
Well on the Monday we hear that Twat face from next door had put in an official complaint to the church hall committee  :violence-smack:
You can imagine what my Reply was  lol
Sorry to go on a bit but  :icon_exclaim:

I would have refused to shut the windows and cited "Health and Safety mate" and carried on. Once you give in to these people they just get worse.  I expect the church hall committee have heard from him before and have a stock answer.

Happy birthday Betty.
In our (my brother & me) disco days we were 'resident' at a local Social club doing regular Friday & Saturday nights. It was a Psychiatric hospital staff social club but eventually the hospital closed & over a couple of years a new housing estate was built. The nearest houses about 50 yards from the club.
I will add here that were never really loud, we were a 'party' disco not the 'dance club' stuff.
One hot summers evening, a year after the houses were built, we opened the fire doors because it was getting a bit hot inside, presumably the houses had their windows open too, so the sound might have travelled a bit further than normal.
The club received a couple of phone calls from the 'residents' about the noise, one resident actually calling down to complain.
It was a 'members disco' so a quick word on the mic and a few of us had the speakers on the stands outside facing the houses. A little push on the fader & the music would have been heard for a good distance. We played a couple of tracks before bringing the speakers back in again.
I think they got the message.

Like people who buy a house near a racetrack, complain about the noise and get it shut down early and noise restricted exhausts. People buy a house near Heathrow and complain about the aeroplanes.   :topic_closed:
