Is it b*ll*cks. I've been riding on and off since 1974 and it was never 'clocks' Back in the day I had a 'speedo' or maybe a 'speedo and rev counter'.

My RD200 didn't have a clock, nor did my GT250X7, CX500s, or GT550. My Glee has a clock, but that sits below the speedo and I use it to tell me the time.

I got my first bike in 1970, that had a 'speedo' above the handlebars! Then, a few years later I got one of them new Japanese things (they had been around a while but it was new to me) and that had a 'rev counter'! But collectively they were clocks!  :stirpot:

I thought maybe I was mistaken, so I asked the internet of things. I searched for motorbike/motorcycle clocks just to be certain. http://kingswaydist.co.nz/products/giftwares/motorbike-clocks

Then I looked for motorbike/motorcycle instruments.

http://begin-motorcycling.co.uk/the-5-elements-of-cbt/element-b/the-instrument-panel/

Just to be certain, I tried calling our dog Norman. Guess what he ignored me because Norman isn't his name. His name is Charlie Bucket. Tomorrow I'll call him washing machine, wait a minute that's not his name either.... :thumb:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Argh I know people have mentioned this before for bike related sites, but why oh why do online stores allow you to buy items that are out of stock??

Went to a shop to buy a present for my wife's birthday and they didn't have it in, so I tried online. In stock, free delivery, job done at 8.15 this morning, I'm all smug because I've got her birthday all sorted 3 weeks early. Get an email at 3 this afternoon saying it's out of stock and they'll inform me when they have it back in stock.

No timescales, no offer to refund. When is it coming? Do I wait or try and find it in another store? Looks like I'll now have to go to meadowhall on a weekend to pick one up, but I won't have the time until the weekend before her birthday, and if they don't have it then I'm out of time. Urgh.

I'd rather do without whatever you are going to get. That includes brownie points from the wife, free beer etc.

I received a very nice Canvas to hang on the wall in my small room with a desk in International Hub. Unfortunately I then read the 'Thank you for your order' slip that was included and my OCDometer went off of the scale. Why can't people see that 'your' and 'you're' are two very different words :angry-banghead:

At my daughter's nursery we were given a letter which said 'We're always interested to hear what the children get up to ay home. Fill in the form below with what they've done and send us some pictures...' The wife wouldn't let me circle the 'ay' and write 'she corrects your spelling mistakes'.  :GRR:

Mr Rat you complain about the use of Your and You're yet you say nothing about the 3 scooters spoiling an otherwise perfectly acceptable canvas  :)

They are of course things of beauty. I would still ride one today if it didn't look like I was giving birth to it  :smirk:
