Missed me again today. The driver phoned but didn't get a connection. I phoned back and he agreed to come back. So I got my parcel.

No. As in NO, NO, NO. What's the point in giving Hermes directions to my place if they don't pass it on to the driver?

Had the dreaded insurance renewal today, I check the small print and discovered a £15 renewal fee on top of my £85 yearly premium. I honestly don't get it, they want you to stay with them but try to take the piss at the same time :dl_smiley_banghead: :dl_smiley_banghead:

Needless to say , I got the fee removed ..  :violence-smack:

The conjuction of Jupiter and Saturn will be a wonderous sight to behold on the shortest daylight day of the year on the 21st December. I'll not be getting exited about it as it'll probably be too cloudy to see anything of it from here.

I saw this last night,at about 17;30 as it was clear, you can see it from about 17:00 if the sky is clear. It’s not looking good today though,it’s persisting down here in the East Midlands.

Proving once again that if you say gibberish often enough, it will become an accepted term.

'Thanks for the add', or worse, 'Thanks for the ad'.

When did take away become take out?

Take out used to mean something entirely different

Context is important. "Taking out" is used in various ways, from assassination to wining and dining.

I always remember the ice cream van that had the slogan 'Careful drivers pull out to avoid children' on the back of it. I never got an ice cream, my dad always said they only play a tune when they've sold out...
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'
