I quite like it :) I might use that as a starting point for how/where to apply my black scotchlite tape

I like the concept but the yellow is a bit much for me (Gun metal or similar would look smart)?

Ugghhhh yellow, personally I'm not a lover of altering the look of a bke using vinyl, (or bagkux stuff) I'd rather see a pristine paint finish ... but each to his own

Totaly agree with you there mate. I've had a couple of bikes that I have had respayed yellow. The fact that I worked in a forklit truck factory that actually made yellow forklifts and had lots of "free paint" and some really helpfull painters, has nothing to do with it

I like yellow too (you wud never have guessed though!!)  :banana-explosion:

It can be nice to have a bit of individualism !!   :obscene-drinkingchug:

Looks good Steve, are the pipes as fruity as they look ?

Interesting crash bars, never seen them before, they look to be very close to the plastics too. Do you know who makes them?

Bike looks great steve...seems like its got plenty of kit already on - is that a baglux? And thlike Juv says the crash bars look sound. what's first on the shopping list ? (after more rides, that is!)

Pipes - yes, they are fruity. I'll have to get used to them - never had pipes before that I could hear whilst riding. The bike also came with the original silencers as well - DAMN they're heavy!

Crashbars - Touratech. Fitted by the PPO (Previous-Previous-Owner) back in 2004.

Extras - lots of them. Centre stand, baglux harness and bag, touring Scottoiler, crash bars, Datatool 3 (mixed blessing, never had much luck with DataTool), Alphadotted, full Givi luggage, handlebar brace, 12V power socket, vented touring screen, nearly-new Tourances, Autocom and those previously mentioned Remus carbon fibre end cans.

It was these goodies that overpowered the convenience of part-exing my current bike on a dealer sale (2004 650 Transalp if anyone wants one)

The only thing missing is heated grips, as this bike has only ever been out of the garage April - September. However, can't quite think about heated grips while the weather is this warm (plus my bank account needs to stop smoking before I spend any more).

First on the list of things to do is a service (incomplete history and it only did 55 miles last year, so it's probably due).

So far I'm enjoying it, but need to think about doing something about the 3000 RPM "chudder". Those silencers are too loud to drive above it all the time without annoying all my neighbours. I'll see what it's like after the service and a few more miles.

Remus might sell some DB-Killer baffles for the silencers. You can check Ebay too and you might get some generic ones (most cans are very similar), try get them in stainless steel if you can so they will last. +1 for doing a service soon, new oil filter and oil at the least.
