Hmm...in theory yes, the main frames are the same as is the engine shape , if not the internals. The gen3 had 200 odd changes as I remember, so it may need a reflash ..maybe ... or at least a dyno run to check

But then the pannier mounts for a gen 3 won't work on a gen 2.....maybe go for a system that will allow retro fitting using a common pannier frame.
