yet another box canvas taken from our trip to New Zealand arrived today. It's taken pride of place in the entrance to my back passage...

I've always understood my back passage to be an exit, not an entrance.

Not today. but Yesterday myself & the wife after work met up with 6 of our friends at the glorious White Horse pub & Restaurant in stoke ash Suffolk.
We had an amazing deal £69 per person for a 3 course meal including a Nights stay in a beautiful room with Breakfast included.
Our friends have stayed there a few times now and invited us along. We can thoroughly Recommend this beautiful pub.
I have added some pictures of the pub and our meals.

Haggis Scotch Egg, Liver & Bacon with mustard mash & Veg ( I had my wife’s Coleslaw) & the cheese board. Breakfast was a full English, or an omelette.
Plus help yourself to anything from the Buffet, I had Porridge, Toast and a full English  lol

2112  the food really was Amazing and the whole Atmosphere of the place was excellent   :thumb:

MisterDavey  it really was excellent value, and Apparently they do that deal on a Friday and a Sunday, in fact our friend who booked it said it has only just gone up by £10 per person.
They have some beautiful Rooms we were in Room 9 which was a Access Room, and there are Shepherd huts out the back compete with Hot tubs I believe.

Today I fitted a Sena 20B bluetooth to my trusty HJC helmet. It's basically the older 20S unit, split up into two main parts to fit into the helmet better. As a bonus it also balances the weight better, giving the impression of a much lighter helmet. The 50S is OK, very technical and offers a myriad of features I'll never use if I'm brutally honest with myself. I don't listen to music, rarely get any calls and just want an intercom. We never use the 'mesh' function either, so it's advantages over the earlier units are not that great in just bluetooth mode. Anyhow, after a bit of faffing about the new 20B is installed and working  :thumb:

P.S. keep an eye out for the 50S in the for sale section...

Today it's out the blocks early, bags packed for a wine weekend in Bellingham at the fabulous Riverdale Hall Hotel. We do this every year & Suzanne who organises the event books out the whole Hotel for the wine group as it is always oversubscribed. But first, we have a wedding to go to ! My very poorly mate Alec, has got a 'special licence' to get married to Andrea at home today. We're heading over early to help set up, get the food out (and keep the cats off said food) & greet guests etc. It's at 12:30 and should take only 15 minuets. We'll be darting off shortly afterwards & heading West for Bellingham. Should be a cracking weekend!

2112, I hope your mate Alec & his now wife, had a great day yesterday?
I'm sure the wine is going down very well now?  :thumb:

Thursday, I took an old mate out for his birthday. We started riding together some 55 years ago!! I may have mentioned before, but unfortunately, he has had a couple of heart attacks & a couple of strokes recently, leaving him unable to ride anymore.
We went to Bill Lomas in Clay Cross, They have a cafe & a few nice 'old' bikes to have a look at. After that we went to CMC, Clay Cross to check out the newer bikes. Loads of folk about & plenty coming & going on motorcycles too. (the weather was favourable  :thumb:)

A few photos from Bill Lomas, didn't bother with any from CMC.
They do cram them in a bit & it's not easy to get the best photos, but I'm sure the bikes are visible enough for those of you who like the old Japanese stuff. :)

Barbel Mick …… yes I remember you talking about your old mate before, it is so sad when you have been a biker all your life and health problems dictate that riding is no longer an option.     But with a mate like you Mick taking him to places like this to be around lovely bikes like those.  It must have made his day  :thumb:
My old mate Jim who I have spent 30 odd Years riding with was 83 the week before last, and had a pacemaker fitted last Tuesday and has vowed to be getting back on his Hayabusa next year ( he has not be able to ride it at all for 2 years due to ill health ) the pacemaker has given him a new lease of life  :auto-dirtbike: :auto-dirtbike:

I hope Jim's new pacemaker can beat at 250 beats per minute, he'll need it on his Hayabusa.  :auto-dirtbike: :thumb:

One day I know I may have to downsize to a 250 or maybe even a 125 but if I could never ride again I think I may give up the will to live. A friend like 2112 may help though, if I can find one.  :thumb:

I remember many years ago seeing an old man on local news, he was near or over 100 years old and still riding his motorbike in Cornwall. I thought he was great. Next day I was driving a lorry in Cornwall and came up behind him and he was riding at about 30 in a 60. I wasn't so impressed but one day I hope that is me.  :thumb:

I have a damaged spine and find it hard work walking more than 100m or so and have to stand on the foot peg to cock my leg over my bike. I saw a consultant last year who sent me for loads of scans and a bone density test.

I have an appointment with him in December when he will tell me if he will operate to put me right or not, he seems keen though. The first time I saw him he saw that I was in my motorbike kit and said that I really should stop riding because it was not helping my back.
You can imagine what my answer was but I did manage to refrain from swearing.
