had the same sort of issue a few weeks back with a powered coolbox.

Evri (formally Herpes) - delivery to my office - we can see the whole carpark and no delivery van came that day.
11am they say it was delivered and the picture blatantly shows it's in their own yard with another load of parcels including another coolbox.

Never received it, the seller sent out a replacement again with Evri which I had redirected to a parcel shop.

I hope the original Evri driver enjoys his 2 cool boxes and bags of tat, hopefully there are some sweets in one of the packages he can choke on

Hermes gained a terrible reputation for 'losing' stuff.

So they changed the company name, logo and colour schemes on the vans, and that sorted everything out....

I wonder what they will call themselves next?

The Doblo is my trailer tow car and mini camper for the soon coming trip to Wales. The MOT was only just a pass due to tyre wear caused by front wheel misalignment. I have it booked for Tuesday. I can't see why the wheels would go that much out of alignment unless there is wear that needs remedial action other than a spanner job. They will only have until Thursday to fix it.

If you've just had it MOT'd the suspension has been checked for wear.
The car passed.
The only (I'm presuming) advisory was for the tyres.
Take it to a Kwik Fit type place of your choice, get the steering realigned and some new tyres fitted.
All of course IMHO,
(also IMHO don't let a garage blow smoke up your arse over it).

Good luck getting the steering aligned. There isn't a good outfit out there. I ended up going for a four wheel alignment at a BMW emporium. They did a fabulous job for about the same money and I got to drink coffee and eat cake for an hour or two. Good luck.
But wheel alignment could be the only issue, if it's out enough it'll knock tyres off very quickly.

Halfords did mine - it's half the price of Kwikfit's if you book online (or it was). Potholes and hitting the wheel on kurbs knacker your tracking. Plenty of potholes about, and I park my car as if it's a bike have been known to bash the wheels...

Bloody window fitters. I'm redecorating the kids' bedroom and thought I'd remove the window trim to replace it with a fresh set only to discover a massive hole behind the trim that you can put your hand in. Apart from sealant on the outside of the window there's nothing between the frame and brickwork - no wonder there was a draft coming from somewhere. Have fixed that window, but am now thinking I best check the rest

Solicitors!! Been 6 weeks since we confirmed sale of our house and purchase of the new one, still no nearer to exchanging contracts. No chain just sale to a cash buying and purchase in cash of an empty house, what do they do?? Heard the other day about a lady that moved to Scotland from the town we live in now , all done in 9 days.
Seems it's really slow in England and they charge you a fortune.

Earlier this year I sold my empty house (I moved before selling) The lady purchaser was a cash buyer. Right up front I was told it would take twelve weeks. When I asked why they said "it just does". However, it didn't take twelve weeks, it took thirteen !!!

My son recently sold his flat to a cash buyer.

He needed to get a deed of variation and that had to be signed by a Director of the management company who handles all the day to day maintenance of the flats, they are a large local estate agency. It sat on the Director's desk for the best part of a month until my son chased them.

I think start to finish the sale took about six months!

I have received the usual reminder (a V11) for car and bike by post this year and just went on to the .gov website to tax a vehicle and the first thing they ask for is the V11 reference no'

I got accosted by a security guard in Tesco in Sheffield today whilst trying to buy a sandwich for going into the shop with my modular helmet on with the chin bar raised

Apparently he'd get in trouble with 'management' if I leave it on - even though he can see my face, which as I pointed out he wouldn't have I was wearing a face mask and he wouldn't be bothering me... 'there's a sign to say remove helmets' apparently though no one has ever said it was an issue all the times I've gone in there including the 15 minutes I wandered around the same store last week.

Next time I'll ask to speak to 'management' if he raises it again or I'll wear a balaclava

I had a similar incident when paying for petrol, the young chap said he couldn't serve me while wearing a helmet for 'security' purposes. So, I went back to my bike, opened the topbox and returned to the checkout wearing my surgical mask which he asked me to remove for 'security' purposes. I refused for 'public health' purposes and gave him the option of me paying for the fuel or not paying for the fuel. He took option two...

Same nonsense at my local petrol station. Security was one of their stock reasons. How many times has a helmet-wearing biker robbed you? No response. When I mentioned niqabs / burqas, they mumbled about safety - you can't hear the tannoy in an emergency. "So you don't serve deaf people either?" No sensible responses.
Your "I've got the petrol, I'm trying to pay for it" approach is good. Unfortunately they wouldn't even switch the pump on at my local.

Exactly the same as our village's station, needless to say I haven't bought any fuel from there since the early Nail days.

@UK_VStrom650,is the Sheffield Tesco store the one on Saville Street, just before the Wicker Arches? If so I expect the shock of seeing someone riding a motorbike with a helmet actually shocked him.
