Mid July, rain and quite chilly so winter duvet is going back on.

Our heating switched itself on out of the blue last night as it got cold enough to bring it into operation. I can't remember the last time the heating kicked in during July...
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'

I ordered a Wheel Balancing stand off that Fleabay they said it'd be here in three days
After three days I got a message to say it is being posted and will be with you in three days
After another three days I sent the seller a message re no delivery, but it wasn't answered
Three days later I sent the vendor another message there has been no answer
I told Fleabay and they gave me a refund
four day later I get a message from the seller " specially for me a 10% reduction voucher on anything they sell.
I sent them a message saying they can ****** off.
When the refund came in I went to another seller and ordered their stand
It arrived in two days ( yesterday)
Today I put it together.
It is wrong. Every single piece of it is poorly made and won't work
I put it back in it's box and after getting a returns label to stick on I took it to the PDP pick up point to have it sent back.
What a pity there's so much junk out there.  :groan:

So three weeks after fitting the tyres I still can't balance the wheels.

However as DVLA have still not sorted out the V5 so I can't tax it anyway  ###

It's a good job you're a well balanced chap Brockett who doesn't get tired or deflated too easily.

Brocket...

Why not balance the wheels on the bike in situ, caliper off, pinch bolts loose etc etc... the principle is the same. That's how I balanced the front wheel on the outfit at Cadwell Park a few years ago... just to make sure I put the wheel in the 'wheel balance jig' a couple of days later at home and couldn't find a heavy spot. As long as the wheel spins freely while trying to find a heavy spot

Hopefully it can be repaired .............. really annoying throwing something out for what should be a non terminal problem.
Good luck ......... and in the current weather just wear your clothes and say you were caught in a shower. Just trying to be helpful   :lala:

Not criminal deception but ....
I went on line and google Bosch dryer repair in Harwich
Up popped a company perported to be in Harwich. Despite them having a Colchester code, I gave them a call and they said,  "someone will be with me tomorrow and they will call again with an ETA."
Within two minutes a company called "Domestix" called me and said they have an engineer in the Harwich area today and he can see me around midday". I explained that I had arrangements with ' the other company'.
"That's OK she said,  as they pass the job to us and we actually do the work".
The engineer arrived at 1145 and discovered the belt had jumped off the pully probably because I had overloaded the drum  (yes it was a bit full last night)
He remounted the pulley and buttoned it all together using no parts and so just the call out fee £84.
So the company that headed the Google list, which is not at all local but somewhere "up north" with a bogus Colchester area code, pays for the advertising and finds the repair company to do the work and just collects a finders fee from 'Domestix'. Next time I will call Domestix direct as it will be cheaper.
Not everything is as it seems.

You need a wee bit Yorkshire logic Brockett (happy Yorkshire Day all), take the back off it yourself and have a look-see.

Baby wipes.

Packed by some malevolent being with the sole intention of making me angry. They are packed in such a way that I can never remove a single wipe, only several at a time.

Until of course the packet is half full (or empty) when the whole fecking lot comes out in a writhing block. They are near impossible to persuade back in whence they came.

Tesco 4 litre milk containers.

Now fitted with a lid the same colour as the bottle, consequently I tip to pour out the cow juice contained only to be left with either dry serial or coffee because the lid is still on because it looks like it's off.

So, to recap......you go to the fridge, open it, take out a bottle of milk, assume for some bizarre reason it's been sitting in there open, tip it up and are surprised/distressed/confused/angry when milk does not ensue?
