..... Why can't people see that 'your' and 'you're' are two very different words .....

Absolutely :)

Are they the same people who use "of" instead of "have"?
As in I should 'of' ( done this or that etc).   :icon_batterup:

I heard 'specialty' on R4 yesterday. That's US laziness, English has an I in it: speciality.

And what's this with 'become' (got)...........  :dl_smiley_banghead:
So how's it going so far then?

There is always a better word to use than got. So said my english teacher.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I did wonder if it needed a capital. That would've required me to press the upper case key, which would have required an amount of effort.

There, I've said it, I'm lazy. :violence-smack:

To be fair Mr Rusty, the school that Mr Power went to was a Nunnery.

As a newbie I don't know if this has been mentioned yet and I can't be arsed to look!
After the onsaught of the word "like" which drives me insane. All of a sudden everyone started answering a question with "so" as a prefix. This is not just the proles, this seems to be universal - even presenters and educated people on Radio 4 - even professors!! (SHOCK HORROR) Bloody Americans! Bloody stupid British, having to copy every sodding thing they do.

 However, without the over used "F" word this would be an amusing vest.  :old:

That's because you're retired Dave :violence-smack:. It's essential in the workplace apparently. :thumb:

Music, ( Mu-sick)...
Imagine every time  you got into a conversation, you and whoever you are talking to have to whip out a music player and turn it on and up so your words are only just audible. Would that be annoying? It is for me!
That is what it's like now with every product demonstration video that I have looked at recently. So what's so wrong with silence that between the bits of essential speech we must be subjected to banging bass and drums.  :old:

.

John Humphries hates it!

If you take 'so' off the beginning of the sentence it all makes sense so (correct use of so) why waste effort to use it in the first place?
So how's it going so far then?

"Quad bike".

No. It's a quad, not a bike, which by definition has two wheels.

Hmm but Bike is an abbreviation of BICYCLE the BI indicating two,,,  two wheels of course. and then there is TRICYCLE which is a three wheeled machine. So perhaps the correct name should be a QUADCYCLE ..... or more correctly a MOTOR QUADCYCLE......
