SimonW,

So....other newspapers don't print incorrect or badly researched articles?

I brought the Daily Mail today as I normally do.

Daily Mail are the f*wits who single-handedly reduced immunisation levels with unfounded scaremongering so now innocent babies are getting nasty diseases we thought we'd seen the back of in Victorian times.

Other brands of scientific illiteracy are available but the Daily Fail sweep the medals board with stupidity. If they could have squeezed in a Diana angle they would have done.

Re-read my post: "All publications are businesses and are in the business, obviously, of making money. Headlines and copy is therefore always geared towards this and may or may not be a representation of the truth."

It was this rant Simon

Ooh, an opportunity to have two moans on the same page. Thanks Roadrocket, but I wouldn't wipe my arse on a Daily Mail, much less read it. Despicable publication. (I have detailed knowledge of a very sad story they "reported" on a few years ago. The report was about a million miles away from the truth and was very upsetting and damaging for all involved. And people believe the shit they write..)

Thanks, Joe for that link to John Humphries views on 'So'. Humphries should be honorary member of the moaning old git thread!

A salutary lesson for me, perhaps? See what I missed because I filtered out the Daily Mail years ago? Maybe I should peruse it more? I'll have a look...

M25. Drove 26 miles on the dreaded M25 yesterday. Traffic was surprisingly light. But why oh why do they have to reduce the speed limits to 60, 50 and 40 mph when clearly could see that the roads were absolutely clear.

I ordered some electronicary from Tesco Direct, I did it using their 'Click & Collect' service. So, I clicked, chose my local shop (paid in advance  ) and then the following day went to the shop to collect  :thumb: except, 'sorry sir, your item hasn't arrived'  :icon_no: 'but, we do have them in stock'  :lala:

I did ask why the item was being shipped in from elsewhere when they already had them in stock  Anyhoo, no big deal, give me my stuff!

I was told it wasn't that simple, I'd have to call Customer Services to cancel my order first. The look on my face clearly communicated to the the woman that she should make the call, which she did. She then tells me that my payment would be refunded within five days and that if I wanted to take one from stock I'd have to pay again.

It's nonsensical situations like this that is the true definition of stress for me, it's when something that should be sooo simple and should result in a satisfied customer turns into a complete feck up and makes me want to punch someone  :dl_soapbox:

Needless to say, Tesco still have the same amount of stock of that item, I doubt the 16 year old Manager took my advice on where he should stick it though.

This is a serious one so mods can delete if needs be. What is the world coming to?

A Muslim shopkeeper in Glasgow gets murdered for wishing Christians a Happy Easter :icon_exclaim:

I have Muslim colleagues and friends and wish them the best for their ceremonies. Am I to fear for my life now?

Whu can't the world just get on and live life. Maybe it should be the law that everyone rides bikes and joins this forum.

I believe that when the bank balance is running low the speed limits are adjusted to bring the speed cameras on line (am I being a bit cynical?)
Did it at 3 in the morning recently, not a sole on the road but the limits were all over the place!!!

Trying to create a route through Europe using the Garmin Basecamp GPS software, not intuitive at all. Also tried to get my old car Tom Tom GPS that I've just fitted to my Royal Enfield to connect with my Scala Rider Q3, no joy :angry-banghead: Used a cheap water proof case with bar mount for the Tom Tom. Need the "avoid motorways" feature for the Royal Enfield lol

Had considered getting a helmet camera. Currently not in the mood for any more instruction manuals, software, USB leads and chargers.

Sorry menace, car sat navs don't work with Bluetooth headsets. If they did no-one would buy their horrendously expensive bike specific sat navs...

True. But stick with it as once you have it sorted in your head on how it works, it is a great program  :thumb:

I use my car/lorry Garmin. I never have the sound on when I'm lorrying because I always ended up arguing with it, hence I never miss the audio on the 'bike. How many times do you need to be told turn left or right before you actually do.

Twat.

See, it makes me seeth just thinking about it.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Ebay sellers who end their listing early for no apparent reason… grrrr.
Was the highest bidder on a screen for my Wee, still 5 days left to run on the auction so fully expecting the price to go up. Yesterday a new bidder bids £1 more than my maximum bid (that I would have increased) and two minutes later the seller ends the auction and sells to the new bidder  :GRR: :GRR: The thing is, the final price was still way under value and could have at least doubled if they had let the auction run its course. What's that all about??  :icon_exclaim:
I'm no ebay expert but it seems to me that the new bidder must have contacted the seller and done a deal, apparently not against ebay rules so long as they still sell through the site but I still think it stinks.
At the end of the day the seller could have made more money so more fool them I guess, its just annoying when you enter into the bidding process in good faith, with all ebay's warnings that you are entering into a contract etc and then sly deals can still be done and you lose out.

Anybody had a look on Flea Bay recently, I have been looking for another boat to play with recently. I have become used to the adverts written by people who cannot spell at all, but now lots of them do not even have a sentence that makes sense, or is complete, that's before you get the upside down pictures. If you don't know which way up to hold the camera get some who does to take the photographs.
Gave up looking before I punched the screen in temper.  ### ###
