People who put up christmas decorations up in November  :dl_smiley_banghead: is it just me or is this too early. ( I tried to upload images last night but no go, I'm using the same phone but it won't work).

@ Graham62
I agree. Although I go a stage further, or should that be less, anyhow ... I don't have any decorations. I don't have Christmas if I can help it.  No cards, no special meals, no drinking, I hate gifts as they are never what I want and I don't give gifts for the same reason. I've told 'em "you want something you buy it and I'll do the same". Bloody carol singers are a pest as I have to keep the lights off and pretend I'm not in. I always give something to the Sally Army although what they do with my old socks is a puzzle.  Christmas pudding is good as long as it's gone cold and the custard has been in the frig. Crackers are crackers and paper hats give me a headache. I hope it doesn't snow (ever again). Best thing about Christmas is the sheer volume of crap on the TV is a golden window of opportunity for me to watch all those endless hours of recorded stuff I have not got round to watching.  And then there's all that 'appy new year rubbish to get by before we stumble into the sunny uplands of January and climb towards the generally unfulfilled promise of a better tomorrow also known as 'spring'.

I am glad I don’t live anywhere near Essex if that’s how it makes you feel.On a lighter note,I went to Donington Park today to the Ron Haslam Open Track Day,and me and a mate did a lap of the circuit, not on the bike I might add.It was such a glorious day that after lunch we decided to walk around the circuit perimeter road.It took about an hour and except for marshals in their cabins we only saw one other person.I have been to Donington loads of times but have never walked all around it.I must say the new tenants have done a great job tidying it up, with new toilets and better viewing areas.Well done to them, plus the new restaurant is streets better than the old one.

@Brockett please may I offer my unreserved apology for my earlier post regarding sprouts and their connotations.

I'm not a huge fan of the "season" either.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Not a big fan of all the commercial shit that Christmas has around it now. I'm not even keen on the 12 days of Christmas......just Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & Boxing Day. It does help to have Grand kids though!!
As for bonfire night, tomorrow evening I will be in charge of a bonfire & a few fireworks (BIG fireworks) for some family & friends...........I like explosions, bangs and lighting fires, it's the man in me.
Halloween we can send back to America.
Deb put a Pumpkin out last night and gave a way all my sweets & chocolate!!!!  ###

A sprout is not just for Christmas.
I can enjoy one all year round.
Tasty for bubble and squeak.

An excellent call there Brockett regarding bubble and squeak, Boxing day dinner (at lunch time) is my favourite. :)

Customer satisfaction surveys and why I hate them.

If you think these are harvested with the aim to improve products and services then you are wronger than a wrong thing.  It is very rare to find a survey that wants your opinion of the product  and never is there a space for you to tell them what you would like to be improved.

If you like the product and it performs as required and the shop/ dealership staff were OK then you must award ten out of ten. If you score eights and nines on the grounds that no one and no thing, is perfect, the people you are scoring will get a nasty note demanding to know what they are going to do to improve their scores to ten.

If you don't complete the survey the retail staff get an adverse score on the grounds that they have failed to inspire your co-operation.

If the survey is just tick boxes that provide no opportunity for me to express my opinions then I just award "tens or ones through the card" depending on whether I did or did not like the product.

Back to Halloween, bonfire night , Christmas etc,, call me grumpy

But , I hate them all

I hate
Easter, Bank holidays, Halloween, Bonfire night, and Christmas, if in lived in USA I would hate Thanksgiving, I hate my birthday and the birthdays of anyone known to me, Add anniversaries, weddings, christenings and funerals. I probably missed some,, The way I see it is that being retired and never getting a day off I'd at least like all days to be the same  :old:

Methinks we need a new board....... the MISERABLE old git thread.

I dare you or Brocket to say you never, NEVER, enjoyed such occasions as a child. If you do I won't believe you. If you have your own family how can you stand in front of them and spout out such misery.

Shame on you!  :dl_soapbox:

Fat Rat, is there a reason why there's a Camping Car park where there used to be festive smilies?  :GRR:

So how's it going so far then?
