Had a nice bimble around Kirkbymoorside to Helmsley on some fantastic b-roads.  Then at the bottom of Sutton Bank had some prat accelerate his van when I was overtaking and there was an oncoming car. Never know why they do that, as once I'd passed him he seemed to slow down loads...

Just been and got a new rear tyre fitted. £113 lighter but it did last about 8000 miles so can't really complain. All ready for a big ride out tomorrow

Hi Cam,
I've been looking at Denali mini, is it louder than stock? Is it a straight take off OE and fit Denali ?

Good clean after the dull, damp weather this week, still running in but does not damped the smile on my face.  Also fitted Aprilia mirrors and a Cosmo Centre Stand (quality product from Cosmo).  Compared to my old Vee no buffeting from the stock screen  :lala:

Dropped it off at the local dealers, M & S in Newcastle as it's in for the recall on Monday.  :fix:

It is louder, but not by much, and it's too deep (in dimension) to replace oem. I ended up attaching it to the front forks, directly behind the front fairing. I like it because the tone is a little less 'roadrunner'.

Another short run around the Southern Cotswolds. Never more than 15 miles from home but did nearly 70 miles in the sun.

Just replaced the Chain & Sprockets, the old set gave me over 17,000 miles but the chain was developing some sticky links and beginning to make a very embarrassing clonking noise... definitely time to change them.

Decided to stick one of those damped Ognibene 16 tooth front sprockets on - she now feels a lot less revvy at proper motorway speeds but has lost none of her oomph  :lala:- I just have to be a little more careful at low revs on low gears.

Now for the tyres...

Cruised down the A19 in the sun towards Stoksely. Did the 'Helmsley TT' at a leisurely pace and then headed off towards Whitby for lunch. Lovely weather and great roads made for a smashing day out. By the time I got home, realised its nearly time to book it in for its first service - how time flies when you're having fun  :lala:

Picked it up after dealer recall. Within tolerances, so no work needed. Bonus is I can slip the 15 thou valve check back by the 7 thou miles the bike has on it now (so I'm told).

Bled the front brakes, removed scratched panel and dropped off at sprayers, removed Crash Bars and Bar ends to drop into Powder Coaters tomorrow.

Ordered Clutch Cover Gasket (in readiness to remove the Water Pump so it can be painted  ), some new Handguards and some other odds and sods. Oh, £40 + for a new V-Strom decal

Adjusted and oiled chain then rode Coombe Laval in Les Vercors, France. Will do it again later the other way round once my French lunch has settled.
