Cleaned of 1900 miles worth of Iberian Flies and other such muck,

Fitted a replacement front brake lever to make the bike look all shiny again.

Clocked up 10000 miles of ownership since April.

Avg of 62.7 mpg on motorways & dual carriageways.

I brim the tank to the top each time, and all 5 segments light up, when full, the first segment disappears after about 120 miles.

Avg tank fill is 245 miles.

Keep safe, and look out for the idiots with no lights.

Regard

Fitted some heated grips ready for winter. I must be getting soft in my old age.

Next job is to deep clean, acf50 and grease then clean out calipers and I'll be ready until next spring.
I look quick therefore I am.

A pic of the bikes on the annual lads trip, this year in the Vosges near Lembach

Fuel consumption off the autobahns now restored to ~67.

Checked oil level & tyre pressure ready for next bit of the trip. 1,300 miles so far. Been resting up (eating lots & drinking beer) for the last week, off to Seville tomorrow then Gibraltar Wednesday.

Not today but week ago I have fitted spot/fog lights with switch. It was a bit expensive but still cheaper than Givi s310.
I have won these lights at auction on eBay.  They were cheeper than buy it now option. Then I bought wiring loom with switch and 22mm mounts/brackets  from the same company. Total cost £92. All parts feel like a good quality and worth the money but we will see ;)
Everything was easy to fit and connect.

My Glee (August 15) is returning 22.5 Km/l converts to 63.2 mpg if I'm correct. I only have it a few weeks and done 1500 Km. So far I'm very pleased.

So after a few days of wondering why my bike was making a horrible crunching/clunking sound when setting off and after trying really really hard to ignore it hoping it would just go away...I found out I need a new chain and sprocket set!  :rain:

To be fair though it is on its stock chain and has covered 16,000 miles with barely any maintenance in the last 6000 miles.

I ordered 3 things for my new bike, a pyramid mudguard extenda, a TomTom power lead and a Cymarc footpeg lowering kit. When they arrived a fortnight ago I booked the bike in for a service (the first 600 mile one) at the Edinburgh Suzuki dealer and told them to fit all three as part of the job.

They gave me this as a courtesy bike  :thumb:

So I thought I'd better take it for a blat down the A1 to St Abbs then Berwick for a coffee at McDonalds. All was well with the world until my phone rang. The fella from the service department tells me whoever sent the lowering kit fkd up and sent 2 lefts instead of a left and right  WTF can I do about it sitting in the middle of Berwick eating a mayo chicken I'm thinking. Anyway... after a few calls back and forth between Cymarc and the dealer I'm told to get my arse back up to Edinburgh to hand back the GSX-S as they need it but they will give me another bike to take home for however long it takes Cymarc to send the correct fkn thing. A very nice gesture I thought as I was in a fecker of a mood.

They gave me this to take home -

Now apart from a really shit screen (for me anyway) this Yamaha MT-09 Tracer is a cracker of a bike. I was hoping Cymarc would take a while to send me the correct plate as I wouldn't mind a few days playing around on it but to be fair to them they sent it overnight so I have to hand it back tomorrow and pick up my Glee.

Alls well that ends well then.

This was a part rant/part photo test post.....

I went to salmesbury to watch the Vulcan bomber fly past. Very impressive. Not so noisy as I was expecting but it does have a serious smoking habit...

Hi

About two weeks ago managed to let the bike fall over in a lay by, and did nearly £500 worth of damage! A bit peeved to say the least!!
Get the bike over 50k miles, and she lays down in mud and gravel, I cannot understand it!

Finally got out on the repaired bike today, and it feels good!

Not that noisey Tall? We can hear it take off a mere 8.4 miles away. I was car washing yesterday afternoon and was treated to a fly past and display before touchdown. It does smoke well though, an early stealth device?

Majestic.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Not strictly storm related but picked up a AGV K3 in white today. Fitted autocom headset this evening (easy peasy). I'll take the long route to work tomorrow to check it out.

First impressions are good, feels well put together and all the vents and fasteners snick nicely. Nice interior, pinlock and drop down visor.
I look quick therefore I am.
