You have all seen my low screen / Madstad on my 650 , I am tended to that size screen . Mostly for the quiet ( Fecked left ear , as Sir Trev said , nekked bikes ARE the quietest  ) and screens tall enough to cover my 6 foot 4 seem to make fast turn in harder
But Micks post is echoing the one mod that made the most difference for me , ie my gear not the bike
Quiet well fitting helmet , silk balaclava worn all year round , like "wicking" base layers keeps you cool too , though a helmet with good venting is key , especially when using the below .
Then a wind jammer pro
https://www.proline-sports.co.uk/acatalog/pro-tour-windjammer/
And finally a long scarf  wrapped round that , blessed quiet ...relatively.

Oh ....and good leathers rather than textiles ( I have both , but keep the textiles for the CRF , as it is SLOW  )....the lack of " flap " at speed is definitely a thing with noise and buffetry  , It is most apparent when putting wet gear over the leathers ...who turned up the volume...

I am still on the fence when it comes to Capurides and the like . My Zumo XT Sat Nav does the ...nav , while fitting in my pocket away from the bike to stop attracting the attention of small boys / thieving scroats  ,  and cameras ....yeah ..I get it . I ride to get away from my phone vibrating in my pocket
But knowing my luck ( and riding style  ) any footage  will probably get used against me not for me
But a great thread , nice to have all the mods in one place  :text-goodpost:

I think mine is a "Webley" Mick with a cheap scope on it. It's a great rat killer at up to 10 metres or so. They really squeal when they take one too. They don't like it up em. It'll take out small rabbits at around 15 metres.
If you've got rats get an air rifle. Although I obviously have not got rats anymore.
Pffffffftttttt.

I really didn't want to look. I risked one eye first. Phew.
Glad to see the council are looking into it.

Mick, if you ask 100 air gunners which rifle to go with, you will get 100 different answers but I have 4 Weihrauchs, 3 rifles and 1 pistol (also a Webley pistol) and love the way they are made and the accuracy. You also won't go far wrong with Air Arms.

The AGF (Air Gun Forum) is free to join and after 40 posts you can access the For Sale section where you may find something used that you like.

I bought my last gun from Perkins Gun Shop (online) and found the cheapest HW97 ss (scoped too). It was even worth it after them posting it to my local gun shop £30 and £25 to the local shop for receiving it.  :thumb:

I hope this is of some help. One more thing, it's easy to get addicted to air guns and end up with many more than you need, which is only one.

I put 20mm spacers at the bottom of my screen to angle the top in towards me a bit more. Standard 800RE screen, highest setting. Made quite an improvement to buffeting for just a few quid.

Perhaps I'm odd but I don't want a completely still airflow behind the screen. It might be down to me being so used to naked bikes but without air getting into my helmet vents I get too hot...
