Tyre Quotes!
« on: October 16, 2010, 09:25:57 »
Good Morning,

It is time to change both tyres and after reading various posts on here and other websites I am torn between the Conti Trail Attack £235 all in or Metzler Tourance £240 all in.

I am new to biking and most of my rides will be with the wife (no dirty jokes please)!

I am not really bothered about mileage from a tyre but more interested in road handling in all weathers.

I know that it is a personal thing but would appreciate the advice from all of the knowledge on here :thumb:

Regards

Dean (now back in Oxford)

I have the Conti Trail attacks on my Wee & am very happy with them. Have found them very good in the dry or wet. :thumb:
Only paid £200 for mine, so maybe worth a shop around though.

Thanks Sven,

Was that price ride in ride out and where did you have them fitted?

Yes, ride in ride out. A local tyre place in Norwich - HMT tyres. ( Highly recommend them)
He quoted me £200 for tyres. Whilst it was in there I asked if he could change the front & rear brake fluid and also fit a 16 tooth front sprocket that I had got. He charged me £220 total which I thought was very good. :thumb:
