The best pair of boot I've ever had bar none
« on: October 13, 2010, 22:27:47 »
I ride my bike nearly everyday off the year, rain, snow, ice etc..., on both bikes I've covered 15,000 mile this year, I've tried loads of boots in the past but mostly ,Alpine star & Sidi.  I've had these for 1 year now, all the rest were leaking by this stage, these are warm, easy to walk in, very comfortable. I have ridden in the pissing rain for 250 miles+ in these and not 1 leak. Ride magazine also give them a green triangle, this will be my next pair of boots, A1 job TCX.

I'm in the market for a new pair of boots, these look promising. I also ride every day and my top requirements are that my boots are 100% waterproof, comfy, warm and that they have good protection. These seem to fit the bill so I'll try find a shop near me that sells them so I can go try them on. Thanks for the mention  :thumb:

The best boots I've ever had  are Frey Daytona Roadstar GTX

They are expensive but warm, 100% waterproof, great protection and very comfy. When  the soles wear out you can have them refurbished by Daytona

I tried to get these TCX infinity GTX when Ride gave them the green triangle couldn't get a pair anywhere in my size so had a pair of Alpinestar touring Goretex which I must say are the favourite boots I've had so far, but I will get a pair of TCX ones next, maybe I should start looking around now ready for when my Alpinestars ones need to be replaced.

I would concur that they are very good. I've had a pair of TCX Infinity for over 2 years and wear them year round. They're warm, waterproof and comfy.

Sportsbikeshop.co.uk sell the TCX infinity boots for £206 delivered.
I ordered a few bits from them a couple of years ago & was more than happy with the service. :thumb:

are there any of the cheaper TCX's that offer the same level of protection

Waterproofing is nice but my most important factor is protection right now
