New addition to my Strom
« on: November 27, 2008, 23:38:59 »
Hi folks, finaly got round to fitting the LED lights that I have had for ages to the front of the Strom. They are 8 LED in a slim casing, made by Ring, they cost about £20 from the local Mototbitz store.
They are white LEd which means I should not get any bother from the boys/girls in blue
I have only put them on today and did not finish wiring them up yet, I will add some more pics when I finish.
They are held onto the crash bars by 2 jubilee type clips with a threaded stud , which I shortened.
The lights sit inside the bars, so should be OK if I drop the bike

My head lights are not blue it is just a reflection from the bulb. This is just the first fix, I will be making adjustments  as soon as they are wired. I have fitted these as a type of side marker, as I ride a lot in traffic and I hope they will make the bike appear wider. They are only rated at  1 watt each, but throw out a lot of light
Cheers
Darren

So, I gather you are just using these LED strips to provide a triangular shape for visibility?

that's the plan Charlie, the head lights on my bus are pretty good, and I have LED in the sidelights, so hopefully the LED bars should make me stand out. And the best thing is that they are white
