Oxford Run Light Rear
« on: November 06, 2025, 22:51:41 »
Just out of interest, has anybody fitted these to their 650 V Strom. Mines a 2016 ( I can never remember if it's glee wee or something else Sorry ):dl_hyperhysteria:
If you have, how did you fit them, for the life of me I just can't think of where they'd go.
Like the look of the new Suzuki SV-7GX. If the price is right, that should sell well.

Not used them myself , but have seen similar . Always mounted on pannier frames for the extra width. Following bikes with them in the day time they were hardly visible. May work better at night though ..

Depending on their size, you could perhaps fit them under the top box / rear rack and wire them in paralell to the existing tail lights?

I've got the original Suzuki luggage, and I've thought about doing something like that, but it would seem to interfere with mounting the top box on the rack.
Also looking at mounting them to the side boxes rack, but again there's not much opertunaty there either
Thinking about it, I might have to weld a bracket or two, to the cross bar that runs behind the number plate.
If I can fit them I'll take some picture.
Cheers for your input. :ty:

I've just looked at the specs. 10 -15 lumens per pod seems a tad anaemic.

Just looked that up, and this came back.
No, 10 lumens is not bright; it is considered very dim, similar to the light from a candle.
Not going to be that effective really, surprising really as Oxford don't normally turn out junk, well I've never had any problems with them.
I think I'll put that idea in the appropriate place. Always best to ask people in the know. Thanks one and all.

10 Lumens is about as bright as a politician...
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'

Perhaps something similar to these https://admorelighting.com/product-category/light-bars/ could be an option?

@Rusty, what are the rear lights/brake lights you have on yours.
Following you earlier in the year I thought they were pretty bright & effective.
I meant to ask you back then, but every time we stopped food seemed to be the main priority!  :icon_wink:

They are the obscenely expensive Denali T3 pods front and rear, with a Denali B6 under the number plate. Fronts on the handguards are white drl and change to orange for turn/ hazard. Rears are running/brake/indicators, all controlled by a similarly pricy Hex Ezcan which taps into the canbus.  Overspend and overkill.  But it gives TLP and Endintears something to take the piss out of me about. So it's worth it.
