2022 VSTROM 650 £3,750
« on: November 03, 2025, 19:23:53 »
My 650 for sale. V5 in my name, at my home address which is a DE4 Derbyshire postcode - 3 miles from Matlock Bath.
Bike is HPI clear. I did this pre purchase.
12,200 miles. Will rise if weather permits.
Metallic Grey.
2 previous owners.
2 keys. Handbook. Service Book with 4 service stamps - all at Suzuki Road and Racing Motorcycles in Hyde, Cheshire:
819 miles 22/4/22
3,776 miles 22/4/23
5,252 miles 20/1/24
6,090 miles 5/12/24

I have done 2 further oil and filter changes:
9,165 miles 4/6/25
12,185 miles 22/10/25

Bike is supplied with a new air filter (not fitted yet) and spare sump crush washers.

Extras:
Nitron shock, full black widow exhaust system (well baffled). Hugger. Original parts included. Genuine GB Racing engine covers - not cheap Chinese copies. These do not cover any crash damage. The bike has not been dropped. I bought them for 2 reasons - protection, and to cover some paint flaking on the metal covers.

Bike had 2x new Bridgestone T31's at 9,144 on 4/6/25. Rear has 4mm tread in the centre, front is barely worn.

I uprated the front pads to HH sintered on purchase in March 25. I've done 6,000 + miles since purchase 100% trouble free as you would expect.

MOT history:
6,090 miles 5/12/25.
11,817 miles 9/10/25. I brought this forward.

Bike as mentioned, has some light engine paint flaking. Plus the odd mark here and there commensurate with age and mileage.

If you are genuinely interested, PM me your mobile and I can put together some photos or even a video and WhatsApp them to you. Any other way doesn't work for me picture wise - due to email size restrictions etc.

Viewing is pretty flexible as I am retired.
Bike is only available for sale until 14/11/25, then it will be part exchanged if not sold. Price is 100% fixed. It's the cheapest 2022 650 you find by a mile, plus some very expensive extras included - they'd cost you £1,000 to purchase new.....

Thanks

Hello. Yes it is a good price - I always see too many overpriced private bikes on Ebay etc. People asking dealer prices for private sales. Doesn't make sense to me.
Nothing to lose by trying it on here. Not really the time of year to sell. A lack of space rather than cash is always my determining factor for selling a bike. Otherwise I'd have about 20 of them!

As per the ad, I can whatsapp a genuine interested party a stack of photos of the bike. I'd have to take some during the day though - none at hand.
Attached is one random photo from my phone (pre exhaust change). These types of photo are pretty meaningless though. They need to be close ups of individual areas etc, numberplate showing etc.

Bike is now no longer available.

Unfortunately I needed a lighter bike. Wonderful bikes are Vstroms, but ongoing medical issues with Cancer treatment have sapped some of my strength. Still, better than not riding at all.

Sorry to hear of your ill health. Wishing you the best and hope the treatment does its job. If you get another bike, do let us know what you go for /how you find it.

Hope you find a replacement that is more suitable - a pity to have to pass this one on.

Did it sell in the end or did you part-ex it? Looked a great example

Thank you locksim and UK_Vstrom650 for your kind words.

I've gone for a Honda CRF300L. I've had one before. Lovely little things. Sweet as a nut mechanically, beautifully finished, 142kg. Like a toy to move around. They'll sit at 70mph all day long, they just don't have that extra power you need for a quick overtake at times. I used to get 90 odd to the gallon from my last one!
Although I've not got it yet - delivery/collection was due on Friday, and they rang to postpone due to the storm. Awaiting a new date this coming week to fit in with their other deliveries.
I can't complain - they are delivering it for free, so I need to be flexible with them.

Loved my Vstrom, and indeed, all my Suzukis. I still think that the 650 engine is one of the all time greats.
