Hello again from the Amber Valley
« on: November 02, 2025, 08:08:50 »
Back in the day I had a DL650 2012 and was also a member of this great forum. I have returned to the "fold" with my new to me DL 800 DE. I am currently getting the bikes suspenders sorted out as for me, perhaps for many people as well, I find it "too soft and bouncy" The bike is a great addition to the V Strom lineage and its parallel twin is a peach of a grunty engine and enhances the marque despite its lack of a V engine configuration.

Will the 800 be getting its own section in due course or does it have to attract more punters and get longer in the tooth ?

Thanks

WM

Welcome back  :welcome2:. my last bike was a 2012 650, probably the best all round bike in the world. I test rode a 800 when they came out and loved everything about it but the price so bought a DL1000 used instead. The 1000 suits me fine but the lightness of the 800 may have been better, maybe next time.

Look after yours and load it with useful extras and a soft seat and I may give you a few quid for it when you decide to sell so keep the miles low.  :) and again, Welcome back.  :thumb:
