Hi all I’m new to the forum.
I’ve been riding since 1998 .
My current bike is Honda crosstourer but I’m purchasing a 1050xt 2020 plate to 2022 or the 1050rr 23 plate any big differences apart from the TFT ,quick shifter . I’m leaning towards the 2023 but it’s got 22500 miles with full service history.
Any thanks for my membership and all the best ,
I’m in west coast of Scotland.

I'll let one of the 1050 owners give their opinion, but 23,000 miles is not much for a VStrom. I bought my 2015 650 in 2020 with 24,000 on the clock and it's now up to 52,000 and still running well, with regular servicing and oil changes.

The older I get, the better I was.

I've got a 2023 1050 , I would look at the later models , if it's done that mileage check that it's had the value check done at around 15k , it's an expensive service ☹️, check the tyres, brake pads and chain and sprocket as they can all increase the cost if they need replacing
Pm if you want to know anything else about the 1050rr

The site helpfully capitalises Suzuki in the link. Change it to lower case and it will work  :thumb:

Welcome.

I’m on my second 1050XT. The first one went to the bike scrapyard in the sky, not before I’d done over 3000 miles in 9 days to Southern Italy. 600 miles in one day.👍

That was written off, and I had its replacement 1050XT pre-reg on a 2023 plate within a month. The new version was a lot more expensive.

I’m sure you’ll be pleased with either bike.
