Moving to West Somerset
« on: September 22, 2025, 15:18:10 »
Finally exchanged (phew) and moving back to West Somerset after 50 odd years in Surrey.  Hooray, looking forward to some rides on Exmoor, The Quantocks.  A few questions any recommendations of motorcycle mechanics and biker focused cafes.

Thanks
Geoff

Moving back to Somerset, good for you. I live in Devon and love to ride on Exmoor, in my opinion it is the most beautiful place on earth. Last time I was there I found a couple of roads that I have never been on before, it was a perfect day out with at least three stops for a cup of tea.

Try to make the most of this weeks nice weather because the winter may be long.  :auto-dirtbike: :thumb:

Oh! and   :welcani:.

Welcome back to the South West.

Exford Bridge Tea Rooms, in Exford, do an excellent breakfast and seems to be a popular place for gentlemen of a certain age to meet up.

Then there's The Jolly Roger in Bovey Tracey, right on the edge of Dartmoor. That has a cafe, shop and permanent custom bike display.
The older I get, the better I was.
