I have one, makes a small amount of difference. It really depends how much lower you need.

The seat height / padding difference can be seen in the pix posted on https://www.stromtrooper.com/threads/stock-vs-low-vstrom-seat.435766/

Different bike I know, I have a 2014 V-Strom 1000 but after an operation last year I tried to ride my bike a week later but found it too painful to reach the ground when stationary, I'm 6' tall. I bought a low seat off one of the good gentlemen on this forum and it made a massive deference, I was then able to reach the ground easily.

I did intend to go back to the higher, standard seat once I was well because I like the slightly higher view over cars and the extra leg room but my home is surrounded by loose chippings and the lower seat makes it much easier to shuffle around between a couple of cars in order to park my bike.

A couple of inches can make all the difference.   :thumb:
