Traitors corner? Not really, just an old Honda
« on: August 25, 2025, 10:29:14 »
So last week I went to the Biggar Rally and saw lots of lovely things and as is always the risk I spotted a CB360 for sale. Built in '73 with nice patina ........ anyway It's mine now  :lala:
Vstrom is not going anywhere. The Honda is a project. Needs more fettling than I thought!

Anyone with parts / wisdom for a CJ250 / CB360 let me know!

Very nice. I'm not familiar with the 360, my mates used to own the 250's bought new back in the 70's though I had a 350 Yamaha.

Is the 360 a made for America model?  :thumb:

Yes the 360 is USA. This one imported 2013 I think. The 250 / 360 engines are, I understand, identical except for barrels and pistons. Head / cam etc all the same.

I always fancied a CL360 scrambler, just love the look of them. Nice bike  :thumb:

Surprising what you find when you look. I found this, only a couple of years old but I had never seen one before.

I also found this for 2112. It's going to auction and £2500 is not the price, I bet it goes for a lot more. Lovely   :thumb:

I had one of these back in 1979/80, only bike I ever bought new. Stonking engine, would pull you up the side of a house and I saw 90mph (on the clock). Lovely bike but mine let me down a couple of times at 5mths and 7mnths old.

Looks Peachy.
Having run a CB750 when it was getting old, they can be challenging to keep original and on the road.
Didn't know Biggar had a show.

I had one....or a CJ360 anyway , the same colour... :thumb:
Late 80s, paid £250ish for it sold for same .
Gruntier low down than the  400 Superdreams I had later , though worse handling . Brakes are woeful when wet, but weren't they all back then.
Rear wheel spokes coming loose ( same as a Benly I had ) and setting the points were the problems ...as I recall..a while ago now.
The points were fiddly, I set with a test lamp , then tightened the adjuster plate bolt and it moves... have to set a bit out then when tightened brings them in to the right spot.. :GRR:
