Unknown Top Box Plate
« on: August 13, 2025, 18:10:10 »
Just got my v-strom and it came with this plate attached but the garage had no idea what make it is or what it might fit - anyone seen the like before?

That looks like a "customised" standard Suzuki item. Not a luggage plate.

the four fixings might have been used to secure a Givi ( or some other makes) Plate.
If it were me Id use a Givi plate ( they are often supplied with a top box) as I am sure you will be able to make use of it.

This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can. Nothing travels faster than the speed of time.

Spot on Brockett. That's the same mine came with for my Givi plate for the 52L Trekker. That plate replaces the rubber mat that came as standard, and the Givi plate (plastic one) then bolts to the lugs.

I did have one of the lugs sheer from the plate once, but the local metal fabricator welded it back on for me.

Am in the process of moving stuff back into the garage and came across the fitting instructions for the base plate.
I bought and installed this in July 2012 and popped the instructions in a box, and there's my wife moaning at me for keeping things unnecessarily... but have told her this post proves her wrong  lol

(I have now sent the instructions for recycling)
