King tyres
« on: July 13, 2025, 12:08:48 »
Now, I'm not a big fan of 'cheap' Chinese tyres, usually because you end up in a hedge wondering what went wrong! However, I've been tempted to try some King tyres for my Victory (link below). This is due to a number of American & Canadia Victory forum members rating them very highly, despite the budget price tag. They do all manner of tyres, including V-Strom sizes at very reasonable prices. They've only been going since 2014, so are a very recent player in the tyre market. However, they are starting to break into various markets, mostly on price to be honest. These may be the answer for some of the tight bastards finacially astute members of the forum. I will of course report back when I get some miles on them, but at £200 a PAIR they are an absolute bargain  :thumb:

My new tyres arrived late on today and they look like tyres. This is a promising start, they look quite chunky for a cruiser tyre. I'm waiting for a 16mm allen bit to turn up so I can get the front axle out of the Victory. It has some very odd size nuts & bolts.

No, it's fully metric. It may explain why lots of things are held on with bolts of two different sizes? You end up with a pile of allen keys and spanners when you do anything on this thing.

They do look like a pair of tyres 😂
Looking forward with interest to see how they are once they are scrubbed in 👍
