Aoocci C6 Pro
« on: July 04, 2025, 14:12:26 »
Having bought one of these, I thought I'd give my opinion of it, should anybody be thinking of buying one.
Well to be honest, it's brilliant, I have a Garmin XT, and love it. But being a user of MyRouteApp, this unit allows you to have the maps from MyRouteApp, from your smartphone on display, or if you want Google maps, or Waze. The display is crystal clear, you can have music on if you want, and then the directions are played over the music. The tyre pressure monitoring gizmo's are maybe not the most accurate, but it could be my pressure gauge is out, and not the tyre pressure monitors of the Aoocci C6 Pro.
One thing to be aware of is the unit has no, on or off button, so you have to tap into a live feed for it to turn on, or off with the ignition. The ram ball mount that is supplied with the unit, Does NOT fit the Ram mounts that maybe most of us have. The ball mount on the unit is smaller than the standard ram mount, and when you tighten it up, it just moves around. I got my unit for £122, and when you think that the Drift Camera I bought a few years ago cost £149, just for that alone, well this unit, is an absolute bargain.
I'd be very surprised if somebody bought this, and then thought it was a pile of junk.
Anyway here are a few pictures of where I put the front and rear camera's.

The quality of the camera recording are very good too. In the event of something going wrong, I'm sure that this unit would be a welcome witness for you to have

It would probably work using a Healtech Thunderbox without using a switched live…. I used the word ‘probably’.😉

That's a very good point, and one that I forgot to mention.  :dl_smiley_banghead:
I connected it to my Thunderbox, and it all works a treat.

I have fitted Aoocci C4 camera's to two of my bikes.

I have used them on a few rides now and had a real impatient / blind driver moment last week which was perfectly captured on the front camera of my VStrom.

We will have to see how durable all this gear is, but with the multitude of discount codes that are available on various YouTube channels, this Aoocci kit seems to be a genuine bargain.
The older I get, the better I was.

What's the current draw? I have a carpuride I fitted and I'm using the rear cigarette power with one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DG8SXCPS - I just spliced the wires together. Hasn't caused any issues for me. Although using a Healtech Thunderbox might be better, just using the rear socket as the switched live for it.
