NEEDS A NEW RIGHT HAND PEDAL CRANK ARM AS THE THREAD HAS COMPLETELY WORN WHERE THE PEDAL SCREWS INTO SO WILL NEED A NEW PEDAL ARM. The thread on the pedal is perfect as it is a steel thread, the crank arm is alloy and the thread has gone so new arm needed
NEEDS A FULL REAR BRAKE FITTED.
BATTERY TRAY LOOSE BUT A RATCHET STRAP SECURES IT TIGHTLY. (supplied)
NOT ROAD LEGAL FOR UK PUBLIC ROADS ;)
THIS BIKE IS THE XL SIZE SO ON REALLY SUITABLE FOR 6+ft , I'm 5 10" and on tiptoes on lowest seat setting. 27.5" wheels
Up for sale is my Carerra Vengeance XL with Electric 48v 1000w 13ah full kit fitted and thumb throttle, all in full working order besides the items listed above. A fast bike which easily does 30+mph and a range of 30+ miles on a full battery when averaging around 15mph on the flat (depends on riders weight). Mileage is 1974 miles.
I have owned this bike for around 2 years and paid well over £1000 for it, been a very good reliable bike but now needs a new pedal crank arm as the thread where the right hand pedal screws into has completely worn out, what happened was I was out one day and the pedal came loose, as I was a good few miles out by the time I got back home to tighten it up the thread had worn out, so now you can actually pull the pedal off and is liable to fall off if ridden. PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES.
I have purely used the bike as a throttle only bike, it is pedal assist too but the gears will need adjusting and settings on the UKC3 display adjusted to lower the torque/assistance because currently its set up for throttle so if you try pedalling it will accelerate without the need to put any pressure on the pedals. Great if you just want to pretend to pedal off road as the UK law for roads on E bikes is that you can have a throttle but can only propel you to just under 5mph, then pedal assist can only help you up to 15mph, after that it must be on your own steam. Max power must be no more than 250w in all cases.
As this bike with the throttle easily reaches 30+mph and 1000w it is for off road use only, I only used it mainly along the canals and private use. Please keep this in mind before purchase if you need a UK road legal bike ;)
There are 5 power levels, 1 takes you to around 5mph, I usually use level 2 which is up to around 15mph, level 5 will easily do 30+mph all on thumb throttle.
To get this bike up and running all it urgently needs is the right hand pedal fixing, the battery tray is loose but a ratchet strap secures this very firmly, I have always used this since ownership as the tray was slightly loose on purchase, could probably be fixed as I think a screw may of come out but I would still recommend using the strap as the Carrera frame is quite slim.
It has never had a rear brake, front one works perfectly and the rear electronic brake will slow you down to around 15mph then I just use the front brake to come to a full stop. Brand new brake pads have just been fitted so will have to bed in.
To sum up then to make a perfect bike, needs new pedal crank arm and rear brake fitted, battery tray tightened and gears need adjusting if you would like to use as a proper pedal assist or non powered mountain bike. The front derailer also needs a new cable fitted as not one installed. (7 speed instead of 21 without cable)
Please do not purchase if you are under 5 10" tall as this is the XL size bike, I'm 5 10" and are on tip toes on lowest seat setting.

Also just to mention that the display reads 83% for some reason when fully charged, it certainly charges fully to 100% as it can be seen on the display when applying the rear electronic brake, not sure why it does this but was like it on purchase, never bothered me as the display does not fall below 83% when fully charged, once you have used the 17% unseen it will then only fall below 83% There may be something in the settings to adjust this but I've never looked into it.
To charge you turn off battery, remove from bike and charge until green light comes on charger then turn the battery switch on, the charger light will go red again, it will then charge up the remaining and the green light will remain on once 100% charged.
This is a used bike so there are scratches here and there along with age related marks so please do not expect a new bike and the right pedal arm will need replacing before use. The scratch marks are mainly under the frame where the ratchet strap for the battery goes around.
A very big tall bike so please only purchase if you are over around 5 10", great especially if you are 6ft+
Collection only please from Halesowen area of the west midlands, around 10mins from J2 of the M5 motorway.
Please make sure you have read all of the description and seen all the photos before purchase, especially remember that it will need that pedal arm crank replacing before use as it will fall off as it is. I've always lived with the lack of rear of rear brakes and loose battery holder so those jobs are not as urgent, just need to be careful with your speed because you cannot stop sudden without the rear brake, just relying on the front brake alone with the electronic rear brake so please bear this in mind.
Any questions please ask.
