New bloke
« on: June 21, 2025, 19:23:01 »
Hi All, I'm currently a SV650 owner, bought new in 2020 but only ridden about 500 miles a year mainly because the seat is so awful, anyway after perusing the local adverts I saw a 650 xt but then saw a mint vanilla DL that someone had put handguards on and the belly guard the XT has and an extra screen attachment on top., a 21 plate 22my with 1800 miles on it in blue . Hopefully I pick it up Saturday, new oil ad a Suzi oem filter ordered then the Evotec rad guard and either their mushroom guards or Givi engine guards.
Hopefully it will be a great comfy bike.

The bikes are comfy, but there's a couple of things folks tend to do to make it more suited (footpeg lowering kit, handlebar risers and new screen being the most popular)

Yes my SV seat was awful. Slopes forward and is very tiring on the legs.
Seems to be the same on lots of bikes these days
OK for girls maybe.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can. Nothing travels faster than the speed of time.
