chains
« on: May 24, 2025, 21:41:17 »
I have a 2012 DL650 and I just received some new 525 master links. After comparing the new link to the existing chain everything looks good except the diameter of the pins on the new link appears to be a little less in diameter than the links on the old chain.  I'm sure I bought the proper size 525 0 ring but I saw nothing concerning the diameter of the pins.  I know pin size matters so I must have missed something.  Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks, I appreciate your help

While still a 525 , different chain manufacturers can use different size pins, even within the range of that manufacturer.
It is best to get , say , a D.I.D. vx3 link for a D.I.D vx3 chain for that reason.
