I'm after some boots for touring and general use, so many to go for. Thinking of the Spada Pilgrim CE waterproof ones, Look great..
Any ideas or thoughts?

Very personal I spose.
My old Altberg's are around 25 years old and still going strong and fit like your favourite slippers. Still waterproof too.
I did buy some TCX Tours about 4 years ago to replace the Altberg's. They too are a very good boot but very stiff like most modern motorcycle boots.
The TCX are extremely good at keeping the wet out.

Another shout out for TCX boots, I'm running the Baja's and they are the only bit of my kit that is 100% waterproof. Top kit

I've got an old pair of Forma Adv - had them for years, very comfy, very waterproof.
Bought them when I was still riding endruo bikes.

But all I seem to wear on my bike now is a pair of HAIX Airpower XR22 GORE-TEX boots.

We used to use the Haix boots years ago when I was on the tools. Never had wet feet with them unless you went 'over the top', all-day comfortable and very protective. We got a new pair every year and they were still like new after 12 months! I've got a pair of the British army spec' one for heavy-duty walking trips, again 100% waterproof and super comfortable.

My forma (short) boots are the best I’ve owned. For comfort and being waterproof.

They’ve been totally waterproof (first for me) even in torrential rain in southern Italy, and 6 straight days of rain touring in this country.

I went for the Sidi Adventure 2 Gore-Tex Boots.
Great boots, waterproof & warm. They take a little while to break in, but comfortable to walk in once they are.
Plus a bonus is the thick sole (Forma may be the same) to give that little more reach for those of us who are too short for our weight!

Have Sidi stopped them squeaking ? I had a pair of the original adventure boots and quickly sold them due to the noise they made when walking. Horrible, squeaky clunk every step, very irritating.

They do squeak a bit but nothing that a bit of WD40 can't sort or, in my case, be a deaf old bugger & don't put my hearing aids in!

Alpinestars SMX-6 V2 Gore-Texinestars These are my boot of choice, they were recommended by so many. First pair of footwear that have been comfortable strait out of the box, they are like slippers, waterproof, warm and very easy to keep clean.

Sportsbikeshop of course.

My boots are Daytona Roadstar GTX. First pair lasted 20 years and were still good physically but started to leak slightly. Bought another pair 4 years ago. Totally waterproof, very comfortable and repairable should the need arise. Pricey but considering the longevity good value.

I'm still wearing my Sidi Courier boots from 2013. Don't think they even make them anymore. Held up really well and after that much time, as you'd guess, very comfy. Need to look at replacing them as the tread is losing its grip and that's the only issue.

Wonder if they can be resoled?

I cannot get away from my Forma boots.

For my build and style, and foot shape, they are epic.

I use them for everything and at the same time, struggle to use them for daily stuff because I want them to last more....

I had my Sidi Vertabrae boots resoled , twice , no problem, they lasted 15 years / 200,000 miles ish . Had to get rid in the end because the gear lever bit wore through, but at that old/mileage I can't complain.
Great boots Sidi . But when I went to replace them for another Sidi , three/ four years ago ? , they had changed the last they are made on and now are a lot narrower. Even a size up was too narrow for me

I got Forma Adventures and loads of room for my flat feet.

, nothing special . You can use the opportunity to change the tread pattern too, if you like. Just don't expect to get Sidi written on the bottom

If they are a stitched sole boot getting them done before they wear to the stitches is best/ cheapest

Another happy Daytona user here. Took a while to break in but very comfy and feel very sturdy. Ans as said before, repairable.
