Loved the 800DE so much, I bought one, a 1050 😜
« on: February 09, 2025, 17:16:50 »
Greetings .
Just signed up .
Had about 75 bikes but never a Vstrom.
Used an 800DE in Gran Canaria on a tour a couple of weeks back and it was fabulous.
If only it came with cruise as standard (as it might in 2026) I’d probably get one.
Anyway, took wife’s BMW 800 in for a service the other day and my dealer had a mint 2024 650 mile 1050 in stock.
They loaned it to me whilst hers was being serviced and I was so impressed with it that I’ve traded in a Himalayan 450 for it .
I’ve got a couple of other bikes too including a Voge DS900X, but I must say I was amazed at how nicely the 1050 rode.
That motor is a gem and it came with a GR Moto end can.
I’ve ordered some Ultimate Add-on heated grips as they were a quarter the price of the Suzuki ones, plus an SW Motech top box and an Aoocci Car Play unit.
Looking forward to taking it away this year .

This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can. Nothing travels faster than the speed of time.
