Salem’s Lot 2024

Just watched it. Crap.
If you've read the book, or even seen the David Soul version, you're not going to like it. A very average movie at best, with masses of important omissions and swathes of new stuff not in the book.
Most Stephen King adaptations - with the exception of Misery - have been poor, but this is a real stinker.
Anyone else seen it?

Only seen the trailer, it didn't look a lot different to the 1979 film. I know I can't judge from that. Probably won't bother with the new version then.

I pub sat for my local landlord, a live in job for a week, and got to see the original. I remember hearing tapping at the windows of my bedroom at night...... "it's just the wind blowing branches about" I reassured myself.

So how's it going so far then?
