Hi,
Out and about today and found this tribute to Pilot Officer Andrew Mynarski at Teeside Airport. Interesting story.(see pic) if you like that kind of thing.
Good ride from York, Helmsley, Stokesley, Teeside Airport, Richmond, Bellerby for  a cuppa, Leyburn, Masham, Ripon, Boroughbridge, Easingwold, York.
Had to put my bike in the pic, but you can soon into the picture to Get a better look at the statue,

Unfortunately I couldn't read the plaque under the statue, even after zooming in, so I did a quick google of Pilot Officer Andrew Mynarski and here is one of the results.

That picture brings back many memories. That is the school for airport firefighters. I did many courses there and always enjoyed the weekends off to explore the area on my car, I always had too much to carry to go on my bike (from Plymouth) and the people are friendly up there in Teeside too.
