Latest photos of my 2005 DL650

Finally back on the road after 5 months winter work. Ran to the local fuel garage and filled her up, then used half a tank to zoom round the lake district and enjoy the first of hopefully many sunny days!

You must have beaten it black and blue and knocked the spots off it leaving it all shiny as a shiny thing.

Thanks, it won't stay looking shiny as I intend to put some serious miles on it this summer. I have a trip round Scotland, to South Wales and down to Portugal planned so I'm taking advantage now of getting some decent photos. I also have some green lanes planned as I live in the Lake District, not proper off-road just easy trails like the 'Old Coach Road'... hopefully I won't drop her but staying shiny is unlikely.

"The Old Coach Road" as in the one just East of Keswick?

The Eastern section of that from St John's in the Vale was hard enough on an MTB  :icon_no:

That's the one, starts in Ullswater and runs to Keswick. I did it last year after they fixed/tidied up the road, its still challenging but great fun. As long as you take it easy it's fine on a Strom, just keep to dry days as its very slippery when wet

Ah OK, I did it about 5 years ago and most of it was truck ruts up to my knees and the Eastern section was essentially a scree slope :)
It was also during serious floods and most of it was a river....
