MRA Screen
« on: March 16, 2010, 08:56:00 »
I do apologise if this question has been answered somewhere on the forum. I have managed to stay away from the pub long enough to save for a MRA vario-screen. My question is do I need to purchase a Madstad Bracket or will the MRA fit the orginal Vee screen brackets.

it will fit the standard bracket fine.   A Madstad will just give you better adjustment :thumb:

Many thanks for reply I will purchase the screen and try it. If I need another bracket then I will cut back on the shopping as missing the pub was a struggle.

just check the sizing of the MRA as I ordered one then checked and it was roughly the same size so had to ring up and change to the touring one.

just wondered how you were getting with your screen?

my DL had one fitted when I bought it, but I'm not really too sure what difference it makes in any position.

cheers.

I think the general rule of thumb is if you are over 6 foot you need the tall one

Ditto harryv, I'm 6'2" and the windblast from the standard screen was horendous. I've got the tall MRA in the second highest position with the spoiler fully up. Have a bit fiddle on with it for best effects, good luck, Bry   :thumb:

I'm 6' and the spoiler is fully up.
as you say, maybe the screen needs to be taller
