Hard to find parts for the 1050. The webshops I find only list parts for DL1000.
But as I imagine the engine is almost the same, I guess I can use the one for DL1000? Are the HiFlofiltro any good - it looks like I can get them really cheap?

Don't see why Suzuki would change the oil filters for the 1050 , a genuine Suzuki oil filter for the older 1000 would do the job or HF138's

The HF138 filter kwackboy has mentioned is a common one for Suzuki bikes.
The engine has hardly undergone a complete redesign, so I'd just given one a go.
what's the worst thing that can happen?

Why would Suzuki change the oil filter that's been used on these engines and most of their other engines since the mid 80

@ bonne, why don't you try to call the webshops/on line shops and ask them personally. I don't know for certain but I would imagine it would cost money & time to update a parts website so most won't do it until really necessary.
A quick phone call will confirm you query.
