PR4 Trail front tyre 110/80R19 now obsolete!

I tried to order a pair of Michelin PR4 tyres, trail front/road rear, for my Glee today. These are to replace an identical set now down to 2 mm after 9.5k Miles which I have been very pleased with.
My usual dealer, a large car/bike tyre depot in Norwich, told me that the front 110\80R19 Trail tyre was no longer available from Michelin and their charts stated to use a PR5.
As I had already seen loads of places with stock online we agreed he would get the road rear in and fit it for £130 and I would get a front off of the net and he would fit that for a small extra fee. That suited me so front bought for £88 with free p£p and hopefully here by middle of next week.
Matey did say that the 17” sizes in the road range all still seemed to be available it just looked like the Trail range was being discontinued.
Anyone planning a similar move with PR4s might want to get the front sorted before stocks sell out.

My tyre dealer told me the pr4's in all sizes and  types are discontinued. I had to get a road  5 rear. My Suzuki dealer has 4's but want to much, they even have 3's.  Out there if you look I guess

Indeed you are correct, the 110/80/19 trail has been discontinued however, most other sizes are available. Had a chat direct with Michelin today .

The tyre place I use, HMT in Norwich, deals with most makes of tyre. I use them for both my bike and car.
The technician said it was the Michelin website showing the PR4 Trail front obsolete but other 17” sizes still available.

I am hearing that 5's have better turn in than 4's. This seems to coincide with the difference in profile that I am seeing between 4's and 5's on front tyres.
