Sardinia

Anyone done Sardinia recently? I'm thinking of 2018 or 2019 but with so many places to go in Europe is Sardinia worth the extra ferries and time?

I have seen some tips on the ferry routes to use

Thanks

Hi grumps,
There are plenty of beautiful places to visit in Europe , Italy being in my opinion up there with the best.
I've ridden the entire length of Italy including Sicily. It's got fantastic scenery, the best roads are in the north and, If you want to see the south the Amalfi coast is a must with probably the best 40 miles of coast road you will ever ride .
I've visited Italy many times and never felt the need to tour Sardinia  although I may one day .
My point being , is there any need when mainland Italy has so much to offer ..

I think Corsica is a better bet. Sardinia was a beautiful island, but I found it to be spoilt by the inhabitants habit of dumping their rubbish at every beauty spot.
