Good value short boots/shoes
« on: May 10, 2017, 20:21:54 »
Hello blokes,
I bought some new jeans today (Richa cobalt d30) but they don't fit well with my adv boots. Does anyone know of some decent value short boots or shoes that'll do the job without breaking the bank? (or have any sized 9s spare?) Cheers

Awful short though, aren't they (thinking of crash protection, obviously)?
I have a pair of TCX boots (http://www.tcxboots.com/eng/prodotti-dettaglio.php?prodotto=161); which are admittedly a lot dearer, but are my only bike footwear; they're waterproof and have lots of reinforcement, very comfortable and I wear them year-round, but my point is, I wear them under my biker jeans no problem - there's no need to go for really short boots, and I'm sure there are plenty of other taller boots which would do the job too?.

Bought a pair of ex Army black leather boots, half a tin of dubbin on them every few ride outs. Rode through three days of rain in Germany and Italy last year, £350 textile jacket and trouser leaked, £90 Gortex gloves leaked, only thing dry was my feet in the £20 boots! Dry and comfortable for walking as well as good protection.
