I was a trailer hater until recently.
Me and Mrs WD have just done a charity ride around the UK and had already decided to go back up to the Highlands for a well earned break so we borrowed a trailer and ferried them up there behind the WonkyDonkey Wagon.
What a change and it was a pleasant one. As much as we enjoy riding out Stroms we have found it better to do this and then to ride the roads you actually go there to ride. So much so we're now looking for WonkyDonkey Wagon 2 which will be a camper and also a covered trailer so we can take the toolbox and some spares.
WD Wagon 2 won't be appearing anytime soon - not until the little WD's havve flown the nest in the next couple of years but then it's full steam ahead.
After the charity ride which was that wet that I grew webbed feet we feel it's a good idea to know that after a hard days riding we can come back to a home from home that is warm, dry and stocked with the things we like. The only modification I'll be making is trying to knock up some kind of drying room to dry the kit if it's wet.
A mate of mine recently went to the "Ring" in his camper with 3 bikes on a trailer and loved it - he would normally have ridden but loved it that much he's making plans to return before the end of the year.
BTW - Who said you could use a picture of my pink sparring gloves on here
