HJC visor latch problem
« on: October 07, 2016, 14:13:44 »
My daughter bought an HJC helmet abt. 3 years ago. The visor has a small black latch to hold it closed. When she went to open the latch with a gloved hand, the latch fell off leaving a small crack in the visor. HJC sent her a replacement FoC. She was even more careful with this one, but it did the same thing. HJC don't want to know. Helmet City (West Bay) have given her a replacement at cost. The were unable to get one from HJC as they had run out, so they took one off a new helmet for her :thumb: and said that they had had a lot of similar cases (one chap was on his 7th visor!).

I doubt whether my daughter has worn her helmet more than 30-40 times in 3 years.

Hmmmm

I have a HJC IS-17 which I've had for about year. I've not had any issues as of yet, but I'll keep eye on it and report back if I have any issues.

I bought a HJC flip front and ended up sending it back after a couple of months, as the visor let water in and then the vent on the front actually fell off as I was riding down the road
