PD Oiler Settings

Can I ask you PD users what you have settled on for the setting? I have started on 2.
Also, I bought 1/2 ltr of their oil as part of e package but what do you use?
My Tiger has a a Scottoiler and I use Scottoil stuff. I think it's water soluble so easy to wash off the wheel etc (although not much gets on there really)
The PD oil looks like oil so not water soluble.
I have only done about 5 miles since fitting so have no experience of what to set it at and what to use.
Without reinventing the wheel you blokes know already!
Thanks

I use the stuff they supply and mine stays on 2 pretty much all the time - just a case of checking once every-so-often how damp the chain is. I've had mine for 2 years & still only about halfway through the oil, and that's after filling it again recently.

Mine was set on 2 and will be again when I refit it. I use blue scottoil in mine.

Paul - why Scottoil?

I bought mine second hand to replace a Scottoiler. The previous owner used scottoil and I already had a bottle in the garage!

OK, I've got a bottle of Scottoil too. I'll use that in the Tiger
Reckon 500ml of the PD oil will last a few years so the decision won't be made any time soon!

I use the recommended PT Lube and also have the 500ml bottle.
I ran mine on 9 for a few miles to get it coated, then turned it down to 2. It's been there ever since and I reckon the reservoir bottle will do 5000 miles or so.

Thanks Martin
Brand new chain today so I have not used 9 but set it onto 2.
By the sounds of it that will do for some time to come.

I've used their oil, leftover scotoil, and gear oil in mine, they all work fine. A bottle of gear oil from Halfords is cheap enough and works fine.
