Givi Airflow for Glee - Loaner, try it for free!
« on: June 26, 2015, 19:11:51 »
I've just fitted a standard Suzuki Vario screen to my glee (many thanks to Bebop on here), and it seems rather good. I'll be testing it properly this weekend, but I'll be keeping it on for a while to see how it goes.
As a consequence, the Givi Airflow is,at least temporarily, redundant. If anyone local-ish to me - West Yorkshire WF15 area - was thinking about buying one, I'd be willing to lend it out as long is it comes back in the same condition it leaves my grasp - I.e. dirty, slightly scratched, stickered up but fully functional. The rubber wahers are a bit perished but all fixings and spacers are there. It fits with my SW Motech gps mount, and doesn't foul mirrors. A no-risk trial of what, for many, cures the eyeball-jarring that the standard screen gives. I like it, but not the way it looks, and sometimes it just doesn't seem as good as it should. Of course all this is highly subjective, and I reckon a "screen library" could probably be had with all the spare plexiglas that must be lurking in strommers' man-caves. Give it a go, what have you got to lose?

What a proper Gent you are Rusty.  :)
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Screens are a funny business. One man's panacea is another's pain in the neck. Bebop gave me a very good price on the vario, If I can share the forum karma, it's all good.

Hi mate, I've just bought a DL1000 but find the screen batters me with wind, can you lend me yours to try as I'm going to have to change to something different, I'm located in Sheffield so not a million miles from you.

Cheers mark

Sorry cutty, it won't fit your bike.
