Even when written all in the same font, that's still a bargain price for a Khyam.

Hah! ....You guise!

No, both still available. Ideal for anybody going to, I don't know, maybe Wales in, say, August, for example.

I'm a Khyam quick-erect convert this year. I first saw one erected by a much-missed feller called Hutchie, of this parish - or rather I didn't see it go up while I was fiddling about with my normal tent...He just whisked his late off his bike, next thing I knew he was lying in the wee porch drinking coffee while the rest of us were still pissing about with guise, and pegs etc! Canny bloke and canny tent!

I have a Highlander, it sits beautifully across the seat and panniers, not adding to the width at all! :thumb:

Yup, packed up it's only 80cm wide, and I could get my Thermarest, sleeping bag and groundsheet in the tote bag if I packed carefully - mind, the sleeping bag's only a thin 'one. Had the Highlander for years till it gave up the ghost, never really got on with this one. It's got one less pole than the other, but consequently a lot less "porch" space. Looking at more conventional tents with a larger vestibule, but I know I'll miss the not having to fanny about that you get with the Khyam. Almost tempted by the "Biker", but put off by the name.
The Boss liked the look af the Vango Ark, thought it would be big enough for a long weekend. But reality hit her when it was in the corner of a field in Austwick, looking like a rather compact kennel. So when we go off it's the tried and tested palatial five man Orchy 500 (with 2m headroom and carpet, no less!). And that frees me up to find a tent for me. Anyone with any favourite tents out there with a bit of "living" space as well as the inner? Or any bad 'uns to watch out for?

I use a Vango Beta 350 if I want room. It weighs in at a hefty 5 kilos though, no wider than the bike.

I have a Vango Milano 3, decent tent with a nice big porch. It packs up small enough to go on the back seat, but I don't use it for short trips. I use my Easycamp Shadow 200 for short trips, packs small, goes up and down quick, has a little porch for your boots and doesn't need ropes unless there's a lot of wind.

Love my little vango spirit 200+.
Packs tiny and lightweight. Fits all our crap for a few days on the decent porch.

I have a bigger eurohike solway tent I got years ago. that's a bit bigger but definately isn't the same quality of the vango, but cost £60 and the vango was over £250 so you can't grumble.
