The garage refurbishment continues, I now (almost) have a drive again. Just needs sand brushing in to lock them in place and I've got access. The garage door is due to arrive next week so going well.

Last night I applied a generous helping of PVA to seal the floor. It soaked it up like a sponge and was bone dry in no time ! This will provide a nice stable base to lay my rubber floor tiles on. 5 x 5' fluorescent light fittings free to good home if anyone is passing ?

Yes, I bought a box of 10 60w 1200mm long panels, going for a 3 x 3 layout. Should be plenty bright enough.

Today was floor tile delivery day so I've cracked on and nearly killed myself in the process. I'm just not used to manual work anymore and it's been tough, my knees are killing me too. Anyhow, it's getting there and I'll do the awkward bits tomorrow.

If you look at one of the pictures you'll see a spanking new panel heater which will be the heating source. The loft is insulated but it's only single skin brick construction so I'll have it set low to keep the frost off and then crank it up when I'm in farting about.

Treated myself to a new mitre saw some time ago however, I didn't have anywhere to use it so I built a new work bench and turned an unused corner of my man cave into a woodworking area.
After some shocking wood prices I used reclaimed wood from a local reclamation yard and saved lots of money, In fact, if I'd have bought new wood the cost was nearly four times as much ..

Anyway, after two days graft I've finally finished the bench. Just need a nice wood vice and a few more tools

How do you rate it over a painted concrete floor?
Any down sides?
I ask as I'm getting ready to fit battery storage in my garage.
