You can change your clutch lever for an easy pull clutch lever or you can modify your clutch actuator so that it has more leverage. For the latter option see this page, the 4th picture shows you how to do it without needing to weld anything. This option is cheap and would probably take less than 30 mins to do.

Lots of things to check and some great advice, thanks all!

I only have a side stand so checking oil is a bit tricky - I did get my son to have a look while I held the bike upright, not ideal. I suspect the oil is getting low as the engine has that slightly rougher feeling that I recognise from my CBF when oil was getting low.

Probably lots of things stretching and changing as it beds in as peeps have mentioned - I guess that's why the 1st service is at 600 miles. Will mention it to the dealer and hopefully all will be well.

That is a good plan.  Doubtless you'll be seeing a post on Sunday entitled "Help my clutch is welded to my sprocket...!"

Interesting page that - seems he has converted his Wee to belt drive.   :shock:

sv650...   one of the BMW 650's came with belt drive.
